Samuel Henry THOMPSON was convicted for robbery with violence in Trowell village Notts. Nottm Assizes 08/03/1862. He was 20 yrs old and worked in the local mines. He married Ellen Tobin in Geraldton, Australia Aug 1867 and had 5 children. Ellen came from Tipperary, Ireland and came over as a settler in July 1866 on the Robert Morrison. She died in July 1931 Fremantle.

Samuel was born in Trowell 1839 and died Helena Vale. He worked on the railways at Walkaway and for the Prison Dept Geraldton.
